Coffee, Tea, and Books!
An American Album Book Discussion
This free program is for adults who like to read and chat about books! Thursday, May 13, 2010, 6:30 p.m. we’ll be discussing the book, Cast Two Shadows by Ann Rinaldi. So pick up a copy now at the library, read it, and join us for coffee and tea on May 13th to discuss the book! This will be our last book discussion till fall!

Cake Bingo
Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. Price of admission is a cake or a copy of your favorite recipe. Donations are always welcomed. Door prizes and refreshments.

Make a Splash—Read!
2010 Summer Reading Program

This year children, teens and adults will be able to register on line from home or at the library or anywhere you have access to a computer!
Registration begins June 1st!
After you register start reading some great books then log in the books you’ve read into the
computer beginning June 14th!
Don’t have a computer, just come to the library and use ours. We’ll help you!

Children theme: “Make a Splash, Read!”
Teen theme: “Make Waves”
Adult theme: “Water Your Mind”
So sign on and set your sail for the Fort Loudon Library this summer!
Children will explore the world of water and water fun through stories, songs, games, crafts and other activities about oceans, rivers, lakes, and pools and creatures that live there.
The Summer Reading Program is open to young people, 0-12 years of age, teens and adults, with programs, prize drawings, story hours and more.
The programs are FREE and open to children with all abilities.
For an ocean of fun, programs are on:
Tuesdays—Family Fun
Thursdays—Make and Take Crafts
Saturdays—Story Hour
First activity begins on Tuesday, June 22.
Look for a complete copy of all the activities to be handed out at school and at the library in May.
A schedule of Teen and Adult activities will also be available.
We hope you and your family will enjoy looking at books and reading together and that you discover the treasures of your library.


Blast From the Past! will start up again in the fall.
