Holiday Sale to Benefit Tween Group at Grove Family Library

Grove Family Library is having a Holiday Sale on Saturday, November 13, from 9 am – 2pm to benefit the library’s Tween Advisory Group. There will be a number of vendors including Mary Kay, Pampered Chef, 31 Purses, Tastefully Simple, Silpada, Scentsy, and Lia Sophia. In addition, there will be handmade jewelry, paintings, a bake sale, door prizes and a raffle for a homemade crocheted blanket.

The Tween Advisory Group is made up of tweens ages 9 to 14 who meet regularly at Grove Family Library to plan programs and events for children their age. The fundraiser is to raise money so the group can continue to plan and participate in events like a library sleepover, scrapbooking for kids and a gingerbread house contest.

The Holiday Sale will be held in the Community Room at the library at 101 Ragged Edge Road South, in Chambersburg. For more information, contact April Cole at alcole17@hotmail.com.

Philosophy Club

Back for the fall, the Monday Night Philosophy Club will meet the last Monday of every month at Coyle Free Library, on Main Street in Chambersburg. Interested philosophers will meet from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. on October 25th and discuss any topic presented at the meeting. Coffee, tea and snacks provided.
